I’ve been working on this documentary for TWO AND A HALF YEARS now and people ask me if I still listen to Bomb the Music Industry when I’m not shooting/editing.
YUP.Stay tuned y’all new website coming soon.
At one point there was a Bomb the Music Industry documentary in the works. Is that still happening? Yeah, that’s still happening. I like music documentaries a lot and all the ones that I think are really interesting take place over a long period of time. And Sara Crow (the director) felt the same way. So I think that’s where we’re at—if the documentary came out today, there really wouldn’t be an ending. There’s a lot more to capture. It’s funny because since the Kickstarter campaign people have been like “Where’s the documentary?” But [Sara] doesn’t want to make a documentary in just a year and half. Like, fucking Dig! took like eight years to make. I think Some Kind of Monster took three or four years to make. And those movies are awesome. So I think to make it a really good movie people just have to be a little more patient.

So I’m sure all of you reading this have already downloaded Vacation or are patiently awaiting one of the (maybe Sara-Crow-packaged!) mailers, but if you haven’t, check it out! I’ve spent the past five months filming the making of this album so it’s awesome to hear how well-received it’s been today. I’m so proud of my dear friend Jeff for writing such an incredible record.
I know sometimes it doesn’t seem like it, but there’s loads going on in NFF world. As I said I’ve been spending lots of time in Long Island and at Jeff’s house filming the making of this record. I’m going to continue filming the Vacation story over the next couple months and hopefully end production officially in December. I expect Never Get Tired will be out in the world Summer 2012. Until then, I’m slaving away at a coffee shop and counting pennies to be able to finish the movie (this is why I’m not going on tour this time, very sad, don’t wanna talk about it). The Kickstarter money went really far! Went on the last summer tour, Europe tour, AND bought a camera with $4500. Yowza! If you’ve feeling benevolent you can always still donate at nofuturefilms.com. I’ve gotten lots of e-mails from you asking what’s going on with the project, and I assure you it’s moving, but it moves much faster when there’s money in the account.
If any of you are going to the show tonight, come find me, I really want to record your thoughts on Vacation! THIS IS YOUR BIG CHANCE TO BE A MOVIE STAR OMGZ. Also PLEASE be sure to donate to the great guys at Silent Barn.

Srsly. NFF is mad broke right now. We need mo’ dollaz to finish the movie.
Always more dollaz.
Geez.
Hey guys!
I’ve gotten a lot of e-mails asking what I’ve been doing, when the movie will be done, etc. etc. Between trying to stay busy with video projects, and trying to make some semblance of a living, I can’t tell ya when exactly the movie will be done. But I’m workin’ real hard on it and hope to give you guys a new trailer sometime soon! In the meantime, check out the video I made for Laura Stevenson and the Cans, “Master of Art!”
Those of you who donated $25+ to No Future Films through the Kickstarter last August can now officially expect your t-shirts in the next few days. Sorry for the epic delay, we’re running a two-girl production house over here and things take time! Thanks again for your support!
Also, just wrapped on the Laura Stevenson & the Cans music video for their new single “Master of Art.” Stay tuned for that release in the next few weeks!
Lovin’ you is easy,
Crowzie
I made it!!
THANK YOU to all you wonderful people who helped me finish the UK/Europe tour. It got scary there for a minute, but because of your generosity I stayed on til the end. You rock! The movie is on its way!!
Help! Project on hold in foreign country! Director stranded and broke!
I’m writing you from a dressing room in Berlin at what might be my last show on this tour. Despite the kindness and generosity of Bomb and the new friends we’ve met along the way, my funds have run out. I paid for the rental car to transport me and half of BTMI around Germany but underestimated fuel costs significantly and now find myself about $500 USD short to finish the tour. The Less Than Jake tour so far has proven to supply super interesting footage that is crucial to this story and I’m heartbroken to have to spend the next few weeks sleeping on a friends floor in Germany waiting to go home. If ever there was a time to support this project, it’s now. My goal for this project is to break even. I want everyone to get to see the movie and I want you to enjoy it, so if you can donate $30+ you will get a free copy of the film when it’s released on DVD. Please, please, please donate if you can! I stretched that kickstarter money to the last pennies but I need a little more help to get the movie to you as soon as possible. Thanks!! BLESS THIS MESS
